Arthur Howe Trusty, 88, of North Little Rock, died in Little Rock on May 16, 2006.
He was born September 23, 1917 in Subiaco, Arkansas to the late A. H. and Iva Trusty,
raised in Ellsworth County, Arkansas and was a graduate of Paris High School.
Howe was an electrician for Union Pacific for 20 years, retiring in 1973. He was a
member of the Good Sam Travel Club of Arkansas and served as Park Host director
for 17 years for the Arkansas State Parks. He was a member of the International
Brotherhood of Electrician Workers, a member of the American Legion Post #1 for 18 years,
and a member of Elizabeth #215 Free & Accepted Masons, New Blaine, Arkansas.
He served in the United States Navy as a Fireman 1st Class (EM) for two years and
served on the USS Maryland.
Howe was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Jeff Trusty; two brothers,
Lewis Trusty and Clark Trusty; two sisters, Rose Christinson and Maxine Rose;
and his loving wife of 63 years, Modean Trusty. He is survived by his sister, Sunshine Spicer
of Texas; two sons, Fred Trusty and wife, Lois, of Anaheim, California and Mike Trusty and wife,
Paulette, of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Kim Homesly and husband, Joe, of Clarksville, Arkansas;
Shawn Trusty and wife, Stacey, of Ohio; Shane Trusty and wife, Shannon, of Midlothian, Texas;
and Chase Trusty of Fayetteville, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren, Jill Homesly, Steven Homesly,
Gail Homesly, Conner Trusty, Abigail Trusty, Austin Trusty and Hudson Trusty; one step-great-grandchild,
Tyler Enelbrecht; and one great-great grandchild, Hailey Curtis.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2006 in Ellsworth Cemetery in Subiaco, Arkansas.
The viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Little Rock Funeral Home,
8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,
901 N. University, Little Rock, AR 72203. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200.
Though Howe is gone, He is not forgotten.
Though Howe is absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rest.
