Richard D. Price, age 83, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2006 in Wichita, KS,
where he has lived since September 2002. He was born July 20, 1923 in Des Moines, IA
to William and Corda Price. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN in 1942.
He and Morgan Smith started Price-Smith Electric Typewriter Service in Gary, IN in 1959.
Richard was a 60 year member of the Gary Masonic Lodge 677. F & A M of Gary, IN..
Richard was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, AR and
the Good Sam RV club. He moved to Mountain Home from Lowell, IN after retiring in 1987
and enjoyed RV traveling and woodcarving. He is survived by his wife, Nelda M. Price of
Wichita, KS; one son, Donald R. Price of Ventura, CA; one daughter, Janet L. (Kevin) McGrath
of Wichita. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ramon Price of Battle Creek, MI and
Robert Price of Hobart, IN.
Funeral service was held Monday, September 25, 2 p.m at the Sheets Funeral Home, in Lowell, IN.
Rev. Mary Hubbard officiating. Burial was at Lowell Memorial Cemetery.
Though Richard is gone, He is not forgotten.
Though Richard is absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rest.
