Sylvia Juanita Phillips, age 77, of Shannon Hills passed away May 29, 2006.
She was born January 21, 1929, in West Helena, Ark., the daughter of James Willis and
Tennie May (Cooper) Dowdy. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Christian Science Church in Little Rock.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, astronomy, and was very active in sports her entire life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and her sister, Euna Robinson.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, George D. Phillips;

Two sons:
Terrey D. Phillips of Hensley, Ark.,
George R. Phillips and his wife Becky of Little Rock, Ark.;

Two sisters:
Jimmie Fay Bariteau and her husband David of North Little Rock
Betty Perry and her husband Sonny of Jacksonville;

Two brothers:
Jackie Wood and his wife Judy of North Little Rock
Larry Wood and his wife Linda of Batesville;

Three grandchildren:
Daniel, Adam and Sarah;

One great-grandchild;

And a host of nieces, nephews and other friends.

Funeral services held Wednesday, May 31, 2006, Chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth
in Little Rock, Ark.

Interment is at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Rev. Tony Jones Officiated

Sylvia was a long time member of the Thundering Sams, A Goodsams Camping & Traveling group



Though Sylvia is gone, She is not forgotten.
Though Sylvia is absent, She remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, She now rest.
