Edna Louise Meriweather, 77, of Mabelvale, passed away April 19, 2008 at the
Arkansas Heart Hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1930 to the late Avis Jones Loux
and Howard Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward
Meriweather; son, Jimmy Meriweather; and brother, James E. Jones.
She is survived by her brother, Arthur Lee Jones and wife Marie of Arlington, Texas; sister,
Shirley Freyaldenhoven and husband Dan of Conway, Ark.; her sons, Dale Meriweather
and wife Dianne, and Danny Meriweather wife Laura and daughters, Linda Maurer and
husband Bill and Judy Hughes and husband James, six grandchildren and
12 great grandchildren.
The family gives special thanks to the nurses at the Arkansas Heart Hospital,
and her special caregivers, Sheila and Brenda.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., April 22, 2008, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel,
with Reverend George Yarberry officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2008 at the funeral home.
