Doris "Teny" Seal Meeks, age 84, of Bryant died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Baptist
Medical Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Meeks was born April 12, 1922 in Hattiesburg, MS,
the daughter of Mike R. and Rozella Seal Garner.
She was a member of the Cullendale First Baptist Church in Camden. Beside her parents,
she is preceded in death by her brother, Earl Ray Garner; grandson, John Shelton Meeks;
and stepgranddaughter, Linda Valadez. She is survived by her husband of 66 years,
Dwight Meeks of Bryant; sons, Mike Meeks and wife, Patricia of Grand Prairie, TX and
Mark Meeks and wife, Kim of Bryant; daughters, Devona Amis and husband, Joe of Bryant
and Cindy Sims and husband, Fred of Royalton, IL; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-
grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Robert Earl Garner; and a host of
other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Cullendale First Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Philip Salmon and Rev. Jimmy Burks will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday at
the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cullendale First Baptist Church in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home
