Patsy Ellen Graves, 65, went to be with the Lord on Friday, the 19th of August, 2005.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Kenneth Graves Sr.;
Sons Kenneth Graves Jr. and wife Cathy, Roy Graves and wife Linda, Jeff Graves and Karen Graves;
several grand children, whom she adored, Kyle, Patricia, Adam, Dylan, Ava, Victoria and Will;
sister, Betty Atkins and husband James Atkins, Numerous nephews, one special niece,
and a lifetime of caring friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Melissa (Echols) New
and her sister Peggy Swaffar.
Pat's love of life was centered on Her Family, Church and Friends. She and her family were active members
of the Geyer Springs United Methodist Church, where she had served as President of the United Methodist Women
organization and worked tirelessly on numerous other ministries with her many long time friends.
All her family and friends knew of the great enjoyment she found while decorating her home (or other's),
gardening and traveling. But she was rarely happier than when she was entertaining others, and the more the merrier.
Her absence will be deeply felt and she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services held Sunday, August 21, 2005 at the Geyer Springs Methodist Church
with Rev. Linda Singh and Rev. Deanna McCormick officiating.
Pat was a long time member of the Thundering Sams, A Goodsams Camping & Traveling group
Though Pat is gone, She is not forgotten.
Though Pat is absent, She remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, She now rest.
