Dustin Ray "Rooster" Ferguson, age 19, of Monticello, AR passed away Monday,
September 22, 2008. He was born September 20, 1989, in Pine Bluff, AR.
Dustin was a student at UAM and a member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church
in Monticello, where he was very active in the Youth Program. He played baseball
and worked hard with his dad in their lawn care service. Dustin was an avid Hunter
and fisherman and he was fondly called Rooster. Dustin was a very loving son,
grandson and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by a great grandfather, Dustin Smith. Survivors include
his parents Ray and Tina Fletcher Ferguson of Monticello; one sister Becca Ferguson
of Monticello; Grandparents Tommy and Diane Ferrell and Paul and Donna Pace,
all of Monticello, grandfather, Johnny Fletcher of Monticello; great grandparents,
Sybil Smith of Monticello; John and Hazel Ferrell of Warren; many aunts, uncles,
cousins and a huge church family.
Funeral services were held at Pauline Baptist Church in Monticello and burial at
Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman. Memorials can be
made to Pauline Baptist Church Youth Fund, PO Box 1099, Monticello, AR. 71657.
Though He's gone, He is not forgotten.
Though absent, He remains in spirit.
Though once a worker, He now rest.
